Suchý vrch is the highest peak (995 m above sea level) of the Bukovohorská Highlands, which is located at the southeastern end of the Orlické Mountains. Suchý vrch is located about 6 km southwest of the town of Králíky and about 7 km northeast of the town of Jablonné nad Orlicí. It forms a dominant double peak for its surroundings with the slightly lower Bradl. Suchý vrch lies directly on the historical border of Bohemia and Moravia. Suchý vrch is mainly a very famous tourist destination in East Bohemia. The Jirásek Tourist Route passes directly over the peak. There is a 33 m high lookout tower (originally a water tower) on the peak. From here it is possible to see Šerlich, Kralický Sněžník, Kladsko, Hrubý Jeseník with Praděd and, under good conditions, also Sněžka. In winter, cross-country trails are groomed here, and nearby (about 5 km) there is a new ski resort, Ski Park Červená Voda and the Čenkovice ski resort. Not far from the top of Suchý vrch is a part of the Czechoslovak fortifications of 1935-1938. The Bouda artillery fort is currently the largest museum of Czechoslovak permanent fortifications in the Czech Republic.Kramářova chata, which has a tradition since 1928, was completely rebuilt after a fire in 2003 and reopened in 2012. The reconstruction was carried out with maximum respect for the original appearance of the cottage from the 1930s, and at the same time a modern mountain hotel was created. In the summer months, the cottage is a destination for hiking or cycling trips. Tourists do not only go to see the natural beauties of the Orlické Mountains on the border of Bohemia and Moravia, but also to see the monuments. The network of artillery fortresses that were built in the border area during World War II is popular, for example Tvrz Bouda, where the cottage is the closest starting point (with a parking lot). The newly opened (2021) Singeltrek Suchák single-track trails with a 22 km network of trails lead around the cottage. In winter, the cottage is a paradise for cross-country skiers with dozens of kilometers of regularly maintained cross-country trails. Fans of downhill skiing will find 3 ski resorts in the vicinity: Ski Park Červená voda, Dolní Morava and Ski Resort Buková hora in Čenkovice. The cottage offers: 4-5 bed apartments and double rooms in a modern standard, a restaurant with traditional Czech and European cuisine in a modern concept, 2 lounges, a wellness area, a buffet, a lookout tower Kramářova chata is an ideal destination for summer and winter holidays, whether you are heading to the Orlické Mountains for relaxation, tourism or sports. The cottage will also meet more demanding requirements, such as organizing various social and corporate events. The cottage premises offer high-quality and pleasant facilities for family celebrations, weddings, but also corporate trips or meetings with partners.
